There's not too much in Coron that attracts me..... Except for two of them. There's the usual MXR ripoffs story and other blabla. This is one of my favoured Coron's, which is claimed not to be an original either, is the SAD1024 based Jet Flanger and Flter Matrix. basically it's a flanger with a manual control combined with a DOD250 like booster. The Flanger is OK of you're into course sounding flangers. The Booster is another story. A nice and very useable overdrive. The fact that the whole thing runs on 18 volts does help from a sound perspective. Furthermore, a wrong adaptor, AC
or in reversed polarity, will not blow the thing up. The bugger is just going to work.
And the other?
The JFM has a brother in the form of an analog delay. One of my costly ebay purchases that has never arrived and was most likely never sent. I don't care too much about the money paid but the fact that I found and won that auction but never got the thing still hurts.
I've once drawn a schematic for a standalone version of the Jet/distortion part:
